Elumen works differently to a standard demi-permanent toner, so the process follows a structured routine:

• Preparation with Elumen Prepare on towel-dried or dry hair, ensuring even colour uptake, particularly on porous or previously coloured hair
• Customised application of one or more Elumen shades, fully saturated through the hair
• Processing for around 20 minutes with heat or 30 minutes without
• Rinsing and shampooing with Elumen Wash to remove excess colour while protecting the result
• Locking the colour with Elumen Lock, left on briefly before rinsing, to reduce fading
• Conditioning with Elumen Care to stabilise tone and support hair condition

Because of these extra steps, the full appointment typically runs from 60 minutes upwards, depending on hair length and thickness.
