What the treatment involves

At Timba, the process follows a straightforward, salon-only system:

• Hair is cleansed and towel-dried to prepare it for treatment.
• Step 1: Hair Filler Serum is applied to gently open the cuticle and deliver reconstructive ingredients into the hair, left on for around 8 to 12 minutes, then rinsed with water only.
• Step 2: Hair Cuticle Sealer is applied to towel-dried hair to close the cuticle and lock in the treatment, again processed for 8 to 12 minutes before a final water-only rinse.
• Hair is then dried and styled to finish.

The core treatment takes roughly 16 to 24 minutes, which is why it's typically scheduled as a 20 to 30 minute session, either on its own or alongside a cut, colour or styling appointment.

Who this suits

Rebuild is aimed at hair that needs genuine reconstruction rather than a light refresh:

• Very dry, brittle or porous hair, including hair weakened by bleaching, colouring, straightening or perming.
• Hair under repeated heat or mechanical stress from styling.

Improvements are often noticeable after a single session, particularly on mildly damaged hair. For hair that's very damaged or sensitised, brand guidance suggests a course of 3 to 5 weekly treatments delivers more lasting reconstruction.

• Detangling and styling become easier, with less frizz.
• The treatment does not change hair colour, so it can be paired safely around colour or bleach services depending on hair condition.

Aftercare

No special at-home regimen is required between visits. To help maintain results, it's worth:

• Limiting excessive heat styling and using heat protection where possible.
