What to Expect

The treatment is applied by one of the team's colour specialists, such as Ceri O'Brien, and generally follows a simple process:

• Hair is washed, then toner is applied to towel-dried or dry hair
• The product processes for roughly 5 to 20 minutes, depending on the toner used
• Toner is rinsed out and hair is conditioned to finish
• A strand test may be recommended if it's your first time toning, or if your hair is highly porous

The whole appointment takes around 45 minutes.

Who It Suits

Toning is best suited to hair that has already been lightened in some way.

• Ideal after bleaching, highlights or balayage to fine-tune the final shade
• Helps correct brassiness or warmth that's crept in between colour appointments
