Full head foils in Cardiff
Full head foils weave highlights throughout the whole head for the brightest, most even lift we offer. Working in foils lets your stylist build precise, all-over dimension - ideal if you want a lighter overall result or a classic, polished highlighted look.
Each section is carefully placed and wrapped so the colour develops evenly from root to tip.
Want a specific tone at the end? A toner can be added as an option to refine and finish your shade - just ask your stylist at consultation.
What's included
- A colour consultation to plan your brightness and tone
- Full-head foil highlights woven throughout
- Optional toner to perfect the finished shade
- A professional finish and aftercare advice
Prices start from £104 and depend on your hair's length, thickness and how much lift is involved. Your exact price is confirmed at your consultation.

What the appointment involves
Every session starts with a consultation to check natural colour, previous colour history and hair condition, then moves through methodical foil work.
- Sectioning into panels for precise, even placement
- Weaving or slicing fine strands, foiled individually, often 80 to 180 foils depending on length and density
- Processing for roughly 10 to 45 minutes, checked regularly as some areas lift faster than others
- Rinsing and shampooing, usually with bond or strengthening products
- Toning to refine the shade and neutralise unwanted warmth
- Condition and blow-dry to finish and check evenness
Given the number of foils and processing checks involved, appointments typically run 105 to 135 minutes.
Who this suits
Full head foils are best suited to clients after a comprehensive, high-impact result rather than a subtle touch-up.
- Those wanting brighter, more dimensional colour throughout, including underneath sections
- Clients refreshing or extending existing highlights
- Anyone with a reference photo in mind, since foil density, weave versus slice, and toner choice can all be tailored
- Clients with compromised or heavily coloured hair may need a more conservative approach, or a couple of visits to reach very light results safely
Peptide protection and aftercare
Peptide and bond-support treatments are worked into the process to help reinforce the hair's internal structure and reduce breakage risk during lightening, though they don't eliminate damage entirely, especially with intensive blonding.
- Use colour-safe, sulphate-free shampoo and a hydrating conditioner at home
- Book in regular strengthening or peptide treatments to maintain condition
- Minimise heat styling and always use heat protection
- Refresh toner every few weeks to keep tone looking fresh
- Avoid overlapping bleach on previously lightened hair in future sessions
Timba's colour team, including Ceri O'Brien, works with clients across Cardiff to plan placement and toning around hair history and the level of brightness wanted.
