Full head balayage in Cardiff
Full head balayage is our most complete freehand lightening service, hand-painted through the whole head for a soft, sun-kissed blonde with natural depth and movement.
Instead of uniform highlights, your stylist paints the colour by hand to place brightness where the light naturally falls. The finish is blended and low-maintenance, growing out gently without a harsh regrowth line.
Every full head balayage includes a toner or gloss to perfect the final shade, so you leave with a polished, salon-finished colour.
What's included
- A full colour consultation to plan your tone and placement
- Freehand balayage lightening through the full head
- Oli G Peptide Protection worked in during lightening
- A perfecting toner or gloss
- A professional blow-dry finish and aftercare advice
Prices start from £165 and depend on your hair's length, thickness and how much lift is involved. Your exact price is confirmed at your consultation.

What to Expect
The service is built around careful placement rather than root-to-tip colour everywhere:
- Hair is sectioned first to plan out placement
- Lightener is hand-painted onto mid-lengths and ends, adjusted for a soft, blended transition
- Processing time depends on your starting colour, hair density, and how much lift is needed
- Hair is rinsed and treated, with Oli G Peptide Protection worked in to help protect the hair during the process
- The appointment typically runs 105 to 150 minutes, reflecting the extra coverage of a full head application
Is It Right for You?
Full head balayage suits clients who want more overall brightness than a partial balayage, while keeping the natural, hand-blended finish balayage is known for.
- Darker or more resistant hair may need extra processing time or a follow-up appointment
- Very light results can benefit from a toning visit afterwards to manage warmth
- Because it's painted by hand, placement and brightness are customised to your hair rather than uniform
- Regrowth tends to be softer and less obvious than with traditional highlights
Aftercare
Lightening can leave hair drier or more porous, so a bit of care afterwards helps the colour stay glossy:
- Follow any guidance from your stylist on when to first wash
- Use colour-safe shampoo and conditioner with cool or lukewarm water
- Add a deep-conditioning mask into your routine
- Use heat protection before styling
